Translating Tella
Language accessibility is one of our priorities, so we work hard to make Tella available in languages spoken by communities who express the need for Tella.

How do I become a translator?
Thank you for your interest in translating Tella! Much of translation of the Tella ecosystem (including this documentation) comes from community voluneers like you.
If you've contributed to a project's translations before, if you need guidance on our translation platforms, or if you would like to contribute to other digital rights projects, we recommend you join the Localization Lab community.
Contribute to the Tella translations
We use Weblate to manage all Tella translations. To contribute:
- Create an account on Localization Lab's Weblate.
- Join the Tella project.
- Follow this Quick Guide.
Localization Lab community
Our friends at the Localization Lab help us coordinate our localization efforts.
To communicate with other translators, please join the Localization Lab community, where we organize translations, make decisions, report errors in source strings, etc.
- Please fill out the Localization Lab's Contributor Welcome Form and read the Contributor Roles & Guidelines. This will help the Localization Lab get to know you better and ensure that your contributions are aligned with our project and community.
- Localization Lab is a large community that values communication and learning. Join its community communications platforms to ask questions, start discussions, or request assistance related to localizing Tella:
- Join the Localization Lab Channel on Mattermost) (when you sign up, list “Localization Lab” as the “Project/Organization/Affiliation”. Once you have been added to Mattermost, you can find the Localization Lab channel)
- Join the Localization Lab's Google Group and Mailing List
